Water Type

On big tide days, twin tip riders will find nice, wide flat sections of water. Wave riders tend to favour Perran Sands end where the waves don't close out as quickly. At the town end of the beach, avoid kiting 3 hours either side of high tide. There isn't enough room to launch/land. And on a big tide there isn't enough room to launch / land at the Perran Sands end either.

Hazards

Beware updrafts near the sandbanks at the Perran Sands end.
