Beach Access

Dollymount is a 3km gently shelving beach with plenty of room for launching even at high tide. The kiting area is at the southern end of the beach. Cross via the wooden bridge and follow your nose. Easily accessible from Dublin City Centre.

Code of Conduct

Setup, launch, and land your kite in the designated area (Figure 1). Use launch/land/setup/packdown area only to inflate and deflate kites. No launching and landing outside this area is permitted. No land-boarding (land-yachting) permitted at any time in this area. Wrap up lines and sand down kite when not in use. Promptly enter and exit the water from and to the launch zone. Avoid unnecessary flying of large kites, other than trainer kites, on the beach. Land-kiting allowed, only, on the most northern section of the beach. Use a Kite leash at all times. Stay 200 metres away from all swimmers and stay clear of all areas in front and to the sides of the lifeguard huts in the summer. Give right of way to other beach users at all times. Assist other kiters to safely land and launch kites.   Dollymount Beach COP
