Name:
The Gare
Beach description:
The Gare is a lagoon, situated at the North end of Majuba beach, Redcar. It’s sheltered by a reef, which protects it from the waves especially at lower tide states, making it a great flat water shredding venue. The Gare will work on anything from N clockwise around to S. Easterly is on-shore. If the wind swings round to a westerly direction, your best bet is Paddy's Hole, just down the road.
Beach Access
Drive to Redcar and follow signs to Warrenby. At the end of the road take the steel works lane right the way to the mouth of the river Tees, continue until you reach the end of the road. The Gare will be on your right (about 500m past Paddy’s Hole, which will be on your left).
