Saints Island is located on the southeastern shore of Lough Ree, south of the village of Newtowncashel. A narrow causeway connects the island to the mainland. It's not an Ideal kiting spot because the wind can be very gusty in anything but a south-west. There are also many rocks just below the surface in the shallows. Suited to experienced kiters only.
