Beach description:

Rossnowlagh beach is located approximately 8 kilometres south of Donegal Town, and has soft, golden sand and exceptional views, Rossnowlagh is very popular with both local residents and tourists. As well as kite surfers, this beach also attracts walkers, swimmers and sailors.

Beach Access

The beach is accessible by car. Drivers are cautioned however to be aware of soft sand areas and to be aware of incoming tides which cover most/all of the beach.

Kitesurfers are to set-up, launch and land in designated set-up zones

Lifeguard Duty

This beach is lifeguard patrolled throughout the bathing season (lifeguard times are posted on the information board on the beach). Rossnowlagh has good safe facilities and has excellent water quality.
