Water Type
At high tide Hoylake features chest deep flat water/chop, making a good spot for beginners and freestyle/wakestyle riders. Hoylake has a huge tidal range. At low tide you're looking at 2 miles to the water, meaning it's only really practical to ride at high tide.
Hazards
Keep an eye on the tide. You don't want to find yourself 2 miles from the road when it's time to pack up.
