Beach description:
Cramond is a seaside village, now part of suburban Edinburgh. It is located in the north-west corner of the city at the mouth of the River Almond where it enters the Firth of Forth. Cramond (also known as Silverknowes) offers excellent flat water shredding for experienced riders, at a scenic location. Cramond will work on N around to E but is best on NE.

Water Type
The water is usually flat and remains shallow for a good distance when the tide is moderate to high. Perfect for freestyle/freeride. Cramond is strongly influenced by tidal state and not ideal at high tide as there is very little beach to launch / land.
Hazards
The causeway linking Cramond Island to the beach. Make sure you stay well upwind of it! The public. Cramond's proximity to Edinburgh means it can get pretty busy in the summer months. There are some exposed metal spikes. Not suitable for beginners / those who can't stay upwind.
